Reducing wear, braking performance is very important

It seems that "brake softness" cannot be improved because it is an inherent characteristic of the brake system. The word itself is a description of the feeling of the brake pedal. This is a very vivid statement, just a simple description, without any praise or derogation. For example, we say that a car has a soft shock absorption and is very comfortable, a car has a good shock absorption and good sports performance.

These are just characteristics, and there is no absolute relationship between good and bad. But just because "soft brake" is not a professional term, people will habitually give it a more representative meaning. Insufficient braking force is also called soft brake, and increasing brake pedal travel is also called soft brake.

In short, as long as the brake makes people feel uncomfortable, it will be summarized as "soft brake", which causes some very fatal faults to be covered by "soft brake". Generally speaking, the brake softening is mainly caused by the poor operation of the brake system, which is composed of brake pads, brake discs and brake oil.

When the brake oil performance is poor, the friction between the brake pad and the brake disc will be insufficient, and water will seep into the brake pad and the brake disc after long-term driving. After the water evaporates, an air barrier will be formed between the brake pad and the brake disc, which will lead to soft braking. In general, it is OK to replace the brake pads during maintenance.

If it is not a problem with the brake pads, for example, the brake system of some models is relatively weak, then the brake system needs to be replaced or upgraded. If the brake system needs to be replaced or upgraded, the entire brake system can be modified. Professional modification shops can generally buy it, but the cost of such modification will be high, and after-sales service is also quite troublesome.

For example, it is very troublesome to replace the brake pads or sub cylinders after modification. There is also a simple way to upgrade the brake oil, that is, upgrade the original DOT3 to DOT4, the original DOT4 to DOT5, and the replacement of ceramic brake pads and softer brake discs, which can usually solve the problem of soft braking.

If the working performance of the brake fluid is not good, the friction between the brake pad and the brake disc will be insufficient. After a long time of driving, the brake oil pipe may be aged and damaged, resulting in brake fluid leakage or air entering the oil circuit, brake pads and brake pads. There is an air gap between the brake discs, which will cause the brake to become soft. At this time, it is necessary to replace the oil pipe to deflate.

If the brake fluid is not replaced in time, it will contain too much impurities and moisture, which will affect the transmission of braking force. Therefore, the brake fluid must be replaced regularly. If possible, go to a professional repair shop to check the water content of the brake oil, and replace it if necessary.

After the vehicle is serviced, if the material of the newly replaced brake pads is too soft, it will also cause the brake to become soft. As for how to select the appropriate brake pads, the first thing is to select the original model, which is basically correct. Correct stripping is very important to ensure the braking performance of the brake pads in the entire life cycle.

The stripping process is to heat the surface of the brake pad to a certain temperature, so that the thermal conductive film formed by the friction material is attached to the surface of the brake disc, which can avoid the direct friction between the brake pad and the brake disc. It can not only enhance the braking performance, but also avoid the generation of abnormal noise, and reduce the wear of the brake pad and brake disc.

The car owner can operate according to the corresponding operation manual. Once the car lands, you feel the brake is very soft. This is a design problem of the car's brake system, which is common in Japanese and Korean models. There is no fundamental solution to this problem, or no low-cost solution.
