The rear brake pad rubs the brake disc when the brake is released

[Catalog:News] [Date:2022-11-16] [Hits:] [Return]

When the brake disc is braking, the brake pedal will automatically step to the bottom before the brake pedal is stepped down. When the car is braking, the brake system will tightly clamp the brake strip on the brake disc to prevent the gap between the brake disc and the brake drum. When the brake pedal is depressed, the brake system will seize the brake pads. At this time, the brake pads and brake discs will have friction and wear, which is commonly known as "brake vacuum booster". When the vehicle steps on the accelerator pedal, the brake pedal is still easy to step on, but when the brake pedal is released, it will make a "squeak" sound.

1. If there is a problem with the brake, the friction can be reduced by attaching something to the brake pedal of the vehicle, such as a paper towel or felt, and then pressing the pedal to the bottom with a thicker rubber band, which can relieve the friction between the brake pad and the brake disc.

You can also go directly to the 4S store for inspection. After all, the 4S store's maintenance prices are still quite high. If the problem is serious, you can also go for a comprehensive inspection. It should be noted that if the brake pads are found to be too thin or too thick, the braking force will decrease.

2. If the friction sound is generated between the brake pad and the brake disc, it is necessary to replace the brake pad or the brake disc with higher friction coefficient.

As the gap between the brake disc and the brake pad will gradually increase with the friction, the friction sound between the brake disc and the brake pad will become more serious, which is difficult to detect during normal driving. Therefore, the car owner should replace the larger brake disc when replacing the brake disc, but the car owner needs to cooperate with professionals. It is not necessary to replace the brake pads on a large scale. Generally, one brake pad is replaced every 60000 km. In general, brake pads or brake discs with high friction coefficient shall be selected for brake pad replacement, and matters needing attention for brake pad replacement shall be conducted under the guidance of professional maintenance technicians.

3. If there is a problem with the brake system, it should be repaired in time. If the above problem occurs, simply replace a new brake disc.

4. If it still doesn't work, you can only replace the brake pads with good braking performance or consider adding an electronic hand brake if possible.

At present, there is no special method to deal with the problems of brake pedal shaking, noise and uneven tightness caused by the stuck brake system. If the brake pad or brake disc is stuck and causes the brake pedal to shake, first check the wear of the brake pad and replace it in time. It is also a good choice to add electronic handbrake when conditions permit. This is why the car shakes when braking, but it can quickly return to normal after the brake pedal is released. The reason is that the brake pads are worn seriously. It can return to normal when you step on the brake pedal after replacing a brake pad or brake disc. Therefore, if the car owner still cannot relieve the shaking after stepping on the brake pedal, he should replace the brake pads or brake discs in a timely manner.

5. But owners should not be too nervous, because many vehicles are now equipped with intelligent voice control systems, and you can only use the remote control to operate, which is relatively convenient.

After the car brakes, the sound is usually made by the brake pads rubbing against the brake discs, that is, the brake drum makes a harsh friction sound. But there are also many vehicles that can hear the sound of the brake pads rubbing the brake discs from inside the vehicle after braking. This noise is generally caused by the failure of the braking system. You should know that this kind of sound will not appear in ordinary driving!
