What is the cause of brake pad wear

[Catalog:News] [Date:2022-8-31] [Hits:] [Return]

Reasons for eccentric wear of brake pads: 1. Frequent turning and braking, unbalanced force on left and right wheels, which will lead to inconsistent wear; 2. One brake disc may be deformed; 3. The return position of the brake cylinder is inconsistent, for example, the return pin of one side of the brake cylinder is stuck; 4. The left and right brake oil pipes differ greatly in length and thickness.

1. The material and structure of inferior brake discs are easy to cause early wear of brake pads.

2. The brake caliper of the brake system is damaged due to long-term use, which causes the brake not to return to its original position, making the pads and discs wear for a long time, resulting in excessive wear.

3. Unqualified materials used for brake pads and unreasonable (too small) design density of friction layer of brake pads are also one of the reasons for serious wear of brake pads.

In the automobile braking system, the brake pad is a key component, and the brake effect is reflected through the brake pad. Generally, the movable plug hydraulically driven to the brake caliper is used to push the brake pad and the brake disc to contact and rub, so as to achieve the effect of deceleration braking. Braking is a process of converting mechanical energy into thermal energy. If the temperature characteristic of the friction material is not good enough, when we brake frequently, the temperature of the brake will rise sharply, so that the friction coefficient of the brake pad will change, and the wear will accelerate and intensify.

The small design area of the brake pad is the main reason for the serious wear of the brake pad due to the long-term overspeed, frequent braking, overload work and long-term high temperature.
