What is the difference between ceramic brake pads and metal brake pads

[Catalog:News] [Date:2022-5-7] [Hits:] [Return]

The heat dissipation performance of ceramic brake pad is better than that of metal brake pad, and the heat resistance performance of ceramic brake pad is better than that of metal brake pad.

1. The brake pad is composed of steel plate, adhesive insulation layer and friction block. The steel plate is coated for rust prevention. The smt-4 furnace temperature tracker is used to detect the temperature distribution in the coating process to ensure the quality. The ordinary brake pad has low high temperature resistance, easy to rust, hard substrate, easy to damage and produce abnormal noise, poor comfort, etc.

2. Ceramic brake pads have the advantages of no abnormal noise, prolonging the service life of brake discs and high temperature resistance, because they will not produce abnormal noise during driving after installation, and because ceramic brake pads do not contain metal components, they can avoid the metal noise caused by the friction between traditional metal brake pads and dual parts.

3. The semi metal sheet is made of graphite, mica, etc., instead of some steel fibers or copper fibers or copper particles. No metal sheet contains no or only a small amount of metal components, while ceramic fibers and other materials are used as the main friction materials. Moreover, the friction part composed of fixed resin and fibers can be installed on the vehicle and provide strength to ensure that it will not break due to uneven stress during braking.

4. During braking, friction generates heat, and the working temperature increases. The friction coefficient of general brake pads begins to decrease under the influence of temperature. The low heat attenuation, high temperature state and emergency braking of ordinary brake pads lead to the increase of brake oil temperature, delay braking and even lose braking effect.
