There are three main differences between brake discs and brake pads!

[Catalog:News] [Date:2022-1-21] [Hits:] [Return]

There are three differences between brake disc and brake pad: different shape, different operation mode and different replacement time; In the daily driving process, the braking system is very important for driving safety; Safe driving is always inseparable from the "escort" of the braking system; However, many car owners often ignore the maintenance of the braking system when maintaining their car; What's more, many novice drivers even confuse the brake pads and brake pads, and can't tell which is the brake pad and which is the brake pad.

Second, the operation mode is different. When the car is driving, the brake disc will rotate with the tire and clamp the brake disc through the brake caliper to slow down or stop. The brake pad is the friction plate installed in the brake caliper; When the owner brakes hard, the brake pads will be squeezed onto the brake disc or brake drum to create friction, so as to achieve the purpose of slowing down the vehicle.

Third, the replacement time is different. Under normal circumstances, the replacement time of brake pad and brake disc is different. The replacement time of brake disc is relatively longer. Replace the front brake disc every 70000 to 80000 km and the rear brake disc every 100000 km. The front brake pad needs to be replaced every 40000 to 50000 km, and the rear brake pad needs to be replaced every 70000 to 80000 km. In other words, the brake disc needs to be replaced every time the brake pad is replaced twice.

The quality of automobile braking system directly determines the safety factor of automobile drivers and passengers; Car owners must form the habit of regularly checking the brake disc and brake pad. Once problems are found, they should be replaced in time; The brake pad must be measured with a ruler. The mileage is only a general reference, and the remaining thickness of the brake pad is the decisive factor of the brake performance.
