Brake principle

[Catalog:News] [Date:2020-10-30] [Hits:] [Return]
Since the know how of brake pads depends on the formulation of materials, consumers can not know the actual material from the product label. Therefore, the selection of brake pads should be based on the friction coefficient temperature curve and applicable working temperature provided by the manufacturer (if any), only the test report or experience of the professional media can be used as reference. Some car owners mistakenly use the pure competitive brake pads, but they get worse braking effect than the original brake pads at a high price. The reason is that the gentle driving mode makes the brake pads unable to reach the basic working temperature. Of course, the effect is poor. The most common problem when replacing brake pads is the accompanying noise. If the disc is flat, there is no solution. If you want to accept it, you can change people.
Brake oil pipe
In general, a section of brake system is made of soft rubber pipe, which is used to cooperate with suspension activities. However, the rubber itself is elastic, which will deform under the hydraulic pressure of the brake system, resulting in the change of pipe diameter, reducing the transmission effect of brake oil hydraulic pressure, and making the brake cylinder unable to produce stable braking force. This situation will increase the degree of deformation with the service life and severe operation of the brake system. The metal tubing originally used in aircraft hydraulic system, which can withstand high pressure and high temperature, can improve this situation. The inner part is made of Teflon material, and the outer layer is covered with metal snake tube, which is not easy to produce deformation. It provides excellent hydraulic transmission effect, so that the hydraulic pressure transmitted from the brake master cylinder can be used to push the piston of the sub cylinder completely and provide stable braking force. In addition, metal material also has the characteristics of not easy to be damaged, which can greatly reduce the probability of brake failure caused by oil pipe damage. Brake tubing is a necessary modification for racing cars (especially rally racing cars), and it provides another kind of safety guarantee for general road vehicles.
Increase brake pedal force
f you press the brake to death, but you can't lock the tire, it means that the brake force generated by the pedal is insufficient, which is very dangerous. If the braking force of a car is too low, it will lock up when it is pressed sharply, but it also loses the tracking control ability. The limit of braking occurs in the moment before the brake is locked, and the driver must be able to maintain the brake pedal at this force. To increase the brake pedal force, we can start by increasing the brake power assist device and replacing it with a larger air tank. However, the increase is limited because the excessive increase of vacuum auxiliary force will make the brake lose its progressiveness, so the driver can not effectively and stably control the brake. The most ideal is to refit the master cylinder and the slave cylinder, and further use Pascal principle to improve the brake pedal force. When refitting the wheel cylinder and fixture, the size of the disc can be enlarged at the same time. The braking force is the force distance exerted by the friction force generated by the brake pad on the wheel axle. Therefore, the larger the diameter of the disc, the greater the braking force.
Brake cooling
High temperature is the main cause of brake pad deterioration, so brake cooling becomes particularly important. For disc brakes, cooling air should be blown directly to the fixture. The main reason for the decline of the brake is that the brake oil in the fixture boils. If the cooling air can be introduced into the fixture through proper pipes or through specially designed wheels, the cooling air can be introduced into the fixture during driving. In addition, if the heat dissipation effect of the wheel itself is good, it can also share part of the heat from the disc and fixture. And scribing, drilling or ventilation disc with ventilation design can maintain stable braking effect and avoid sliding effect caused by high temperature iron filings between brake pad and disc, effectively ensuring braking force.

friction coefficient

The most important performance index of brake pad is friction coefficient. The friction coefficient of brake specified by national standard is between 0.35 and 0.40. The friction coefficient of qualified brake pads is moderate and stable. If the friction coefficient is lower than 0.35, the safety braking distance will be exceeded or even the brake will fail. If the friction coefficient is higher than 0.40, the brake will be prone to sudden lock and rollover accident.

The national standard stipulates that the 350 degree friction coefficient should be greater than 0.20,
